**Role Overview**:
As a Goods In Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials in our Cardiff warehouse. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards, ensuring that stock is available and ready for distribution when needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Receiving and Inspection**: Efficiently receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- **Goods Storage**: Organise and store products using appropriate systems, ensuring efficient use of space and proper stock rotation.
- **Inventory Management**: Conduct regular stock checks in collaboration with our Stock Controller, reconciling physical stock with system records and reporting any discrepancies.
- **Stock Distribution**: Fulfil staff requests for supplies and equipment, preparing and packing items accurately and maintaining documentation of all stock movements.
- **Supplier Coordination**: Work closely with the purchasing department to manage delivery schedules, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely stock replenishment.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, especially when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment, to maintain a safe working environment.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Regularly inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, reporting any issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Keep precise records of all goods received, stored, and distributed, providing updates to the purchasing department as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous experience in a warehouse or goods-in role, ideally in a similar industry.
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials used in janitorial services.
- Familiarity with warehouse or inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle and move heavy items.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly concerning cleaning chemicals and equipment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,500.00 per year
