Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a leading food supplier to recruit a Cost Accountant.The position will be based at the firm’s site near Chippenham and reports to the Financial Controller.
Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant include:

- Provide costings of existing and new product lines
- Support reporting on variances (labour, materials etc)
- Identify trends and making corrective actions with internal teams
- Involvement with implementation of a new product life cycle costing system
- Support other daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements
- Assist with profit and loss
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce KPI’s
- Assist with stocktaking

Key competencies required of the Cost Accountant include:

- ACCA/CIMA - part qualified/ qualified or qualified by experience in a similar role
- Have experience with product costings / creation of product standards
- Work well under pressure and to deadlines

Hybrid working options are available.
