CDX Security is a security company providing premium concierge services, facilities management and security solutions to large-scale businesses, distribution centres, and the retail sector throughout the UK.

**Security Officer**

CDX Security are recruiting smart, professional security officer to work on a commercial site in HAVANT, Hampshire

**Shift Pattern**

Cover guard covering sickness holidays etc on an adhoc basis.

**Role requirements**:

- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Must hold a valid SIA Frontline Licence.
- 5 year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards (BS7858)
- Determination and resilience
- Dressed smart and professional at all times
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent customer service experience
- Ability to handle high pressure situations
- Work independently from own initiative as well as part of a larger team
- Flexible approach to work
- Driving licence an advantage.

**Duties Include**:

- Conducting searches
- Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site.
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms as appropriate.
- Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
- Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties.
- Maintain all logbooks and records.
- Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices.
- Ensure all walkways and emergency escape routes are always kept clear.
- Investigate the cause of all fire alarm activations.
- Identify opportunities for improving practices and processes.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.

**Requirements**:

- SIA License.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
- Good report writing skills/ I.T Literate.
