A fantastic opportunity to work as a *Female support worker with a funny and bright 14-year-old girl based in the Ashford area. You would be working in a fully adapted accessible home in beautiful surroundings with a wonderfully supportive rehabilitation care team and therapists.

The family are looking for a waking night carer to join their established care team who are caring, engaging and encouraging to work within the family home. Our client is supported on a 2-to-1 basis during daytime shifts and a 1-to-1 basis during night shifts. Her home has a purpose built accessible outdoor classroom and home school area where she is privately tutored and is situated in beautiful grounds that she likes to explore daily. She also has a hydrotherapy pool and thoroughly enjoys her hydrotherapy sessions at home.

**The Client**

14-year-old girl who suffered a traumatic brain injury. She is non-verbal but her cognitive ability continues to surprise all involved and she has a wonderful sense of humour. She needs full support with her day-to-day personal care, nutrition, mobility, therapy and psychological needs. She loves being outdoors, going out to café’s/shopping. She also loves animals, enjoys drama, and adores her hydrotherapy sessions.

Our client is encouraged to live as full and comfortable a life as possible, so social and recreational activities are vital, together with supporting her with her communication and visual responses.

**Hours and Rates of Pay**

Monday to Friday: £16.00 per hour

Saturday & Sunday: £18.00 per hour

Bank Holidays: 2 x the weekday hourly rate

**Shifts**

Permanent shifts available are 2 x waking nights. This is on a rota basis totalling to between 22 hours per week Monday to Sunday.

Night shifts are 19:30 - 06:30.

**Person Specification**
- Must be female*.
- Fit, energetic and enthusiastic.
- Experience of working with clients with complex care needs would be an advantage.
- Experience of working as a Support Worker is essential.
- Comfortable with using basic IT skills and handling equipment to ensure the client can access the full range of resources which is crucial in her day-to-day life.
- GCSE Maths and English desirable.
- Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
