**About Us**:
SafeHands Wales is the children’s services department of ProCare Nursing Agency Ltd. We specialise in the care and support of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities across Cardiff and The Vale.

SafeHands provides a child or young person-centred approach and promotes active participation. Our main focus is becoming a solid, consistent part of the child or young person’s life for as long as necessary.

Supporting the personalised development of each child or young person within their own home and the community.

Ensuring a high standard of personal care for each child or young person, including matters of physical well-being and personal hygiene.

To be aware of the emotional needs and aspirations of each child or young person and provide opportunities for appropriate expression.

Ensuring the safety of the child or young person always, immediately reporting any concerns about health and safety or well-being.

Managing the child or young persons behaviour, ensuring that triggers of behaviour are noted and avoided.

Providing activities for the child or young person tailored to their specific needs as detailed in their care plan.

**About you**:
We are looking for an outgoing, excited and approachable person that is passionate about supporting the children and young people within our services. If you are able to have fun and engage in activities that our young people enjoy, then you are the person we’re looking for

Our children and young people have varying needs and disabilities but ultimately they are looking for someone like you to help promote their independence, life skills and opportunities.

In turn, you will receive an opportunity to learn new skills if you are new to the sector and gain an immense satisfaction and sense of achievement whilst getting paid.

Qualifications are not essential for this role as we will provide full training and support, however a Childcare or Health and Social Care QCF would be desirable.

**Hours**:
This role will suit those looking for a full time opportunity but would also for those who want to work part time around other commitments.

The needs of the young people we support and work with varies from sessional support to shift work, supporting them at home or in the community.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 12-48 per week

**Salary**: £10.50-£15.00 per hour

Day range:

- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday

Shift:

- Day shift
- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cardiff, Cardiff: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
