Verve People recruit on behalf of leading hotels, restaurants, and venues in and around Chester.

**We are currently looking for a Catering Assistant with Fine Dining and Barista experience to join our team at the University of Chester.**

**Full time hours.**

**Permanent contract available after 12 weeks.**

**1 Saturday a month may be required.**

**No Christmas hours**

Our front of house team will have **fantastic opportunities to gain new skills **and develop within the company, such as attaining a Personal Licence and an NVQ Diploma in Food and Beverage Service.

You will be working with experienced team members who will nurture and refine your skills.

**What your role would include**:

- Grinding and brewing coffee
- Consistently providing well-crafted, beautifully presented, and tasty beverages
- Taking client orders and receiving payment
- Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers
- Maintaining a clean and sanitised working environment
- Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom
- Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
- Serving food
- Competent in busy periods
- Qualified and experienced
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative
- Pride in your work and appearance
- A positive and hardworking attitude

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9.50-£11.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Barista experience: 5 years (preferred)
- Hospitality: 5 years (preferred)
- customer service: 5 years (preferred)
