Slitter Operator

A **Slitter Operator** is required for a large steel processing company based over in Oldbury.

You will be responsible for setting and operating their wide coil slitting line, as well as manoeuvring steel around the workplace, loading and unloading the machinery.

To be considered for this role you MUST have set and operated slitting lines, as well as operating overhead cranes.

You will be responsible for and your duties will include;
- Setting and operating wide coil slitting lines
- Operating overhead cranes
- Operating counterbalance forklift trucks
- Handling steel coil and processed steel
- Helping to load and unload slitting lines
- Any other duties as and when required

You will be working two shifts initially. 6am - 2pm days Monday to Friday / 4pm - 2am twilights Monday to Thursday, rotating weekly.

**Your rates will be £13.32 on days and £15.14 on twilights / nights.**

After a twelve week probationary period through the agency you will be eligible for a permanent contract, though you may spend a longer time on the agencies books.
