**Role: Fintech Data Scientist**

**Location: Oxford / Cambridge (Hybrid)**

This opportunity offers you the chance to work for a well-established and exciting Fintech organization with enormous projects on the horizon. A core focus of the company is providing trade finance distribution, automation, securitization service and AI-basedcredit analytics to major banks, asset managers and credit insurers. At the heart of all of this is, of course, the advanced machine learning team which you will be joining.

**Responsibilities**
- You will be improving the existing models and developing new models for evaluation of the company and transaction credit risk.
- You will be collaborating with different internal stakeholders including product managers and engineering teams, in order to deploy new analytical capabilities.
- You will determine indicators (patterns) of potential fraud and conceptualize ways to automatically detect instances.
- You will be Identifying relevant data sources to improve fraud and anomaly detection and compromised account prevention.
- You will be liaising with new clients, understanding, and mapping their datasets, identifying important questions and answering them with data.
- You will be researching new feature generation and model development for credit risk prediction.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years' experience working as a Data Scientist in the fintech world.
- Advanced hands-on extensive experience with Python and Machine Learning libraries (Pandas / PyTorch, NumPy etc).
- MSc / PhD degree in Mathematics / Physics / Computer Science / Statistics / Data Science / Finance.
