Senior Accommodation Support

RSR Justice are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Sandwell for a Senior Accommodation Support Worker to manage and oversee the quality of support delivered to residents and their children supervising the intervention support workers whowill each have a nominated caseload. This is a full time, permanent position and offers a salary of £23,850 - £27,800 (dependent on experience). Travel is required for this role so UK driving license and access to own vehicle is essential. **Main Duties**: - Work with the Accommodation Services management team to ensure that non-judgmental, high quality, responsive and supportive environment and service is available within all accommodation services. - Provide direct line management in the absence of the Refuge Manager, support, supervision, advice and guidance to allocated refuge staff, students and volunteers. - Ensure that the refuge team delivers timely and risk managed services to residents. - Make decisions on new referrals into service, assessing initial risk, allocating to available unit space, updating the system and ensuring that the team are meeting key performance indicators within the agreed timeframes. - Ensure that residents receive an effective system of regular contact, care, emotional and practical support to high risk complex needs victims of Domestic Abuse. - Ensure that there is direct contact with residents to ascertain their experiences of living within the refuge and that their needs are being met. - Lead in the development, programming and delivery of group interventions for residents to assist them to cope and recover. - Work with the finance team, ensuring that rent payments and personal charges are collected, monitored, and housing benefits claims are submitted and processed. - Attend relevant partner meetings and work closely with other services to create the best outcomes for residents (and their children), including, substance misuse services, and health services. - Ensure that the service provided addresses the complex and multiple needs of residents. - Work with the Refuge Manager to monitor and manage the safety and security of all accommodation explaining to clients their responsibility whilst living within the accommodation. - Deal with any conflicts that may arise as a result of living within client accommodation. - Support the induction, development and training of new and existing accommodation support staff. **Essential Requirements**: - A good standard of education Level 3 + or equivalent preferably in a related field such as Health and Social Care, law, housing, community work - Be willing to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends when required. - Experience of working with vulnerable/ complex needs/ multiple disadvantage people acknowledging safeguarding concerns and knowing how to respond appropriately. - Experience of working within a formal contracting environment delivering/achieving against a specification and performance targets. - Understand indicators and components of domestic abuse and the issues facing victims. - Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management.
