Do you have experience working with students in Nursery/reception? **About the role** You will be working with Nursery aged students (2-3 years old) who may be showing some signs of Autism at an early age. Students may learn below expected levels for their age groups and show delays in social communication, speech and language and may exhibitsome challenging behaviours. You will help to keep students engaged in lessons, encourage interaction with other students, engage in play based lessons and model positive behaviours for students. This role will be full-time Monday to Friday during term timesfrom 8.30am-3.30pm. This role would be ideal for individuals with experience working with early years, particularly those with SEN experience. Please note, due to the needs of students this role will be full-time, 5 days per week so applicants must be able to commit to workingfull-time weekly. **About the school** They are a small and friendly one-form entry school in New Barnet set in extensive grounds with spacious classrooms and excellent outdoor facilities on the edge of Hadley Wood. The staff and students at this school act as one big family, making the schoola warm and welcoming place for all who go there. They all contribute to this as the teachers are kind and dedicated, planning enjoyable, creative lessons while the children do their best to listen and learn. The minute you step through the doors of the school,you feel loved and in the right place, that is why new students or visitors are warmly welcomed with open arms. In addition to this the school has a dedicated provision for students with Autism where they provide individual learning programmes and support students in the mainstream classes both with teaching support and by "buddying" them up with other pupils in theiryear group. Both children and staff love working together here, it is truly an inclusive school. The school is located a short walk from New Barnet overground station.
