The Kettleburgh Chequers is a family owned pub fusing traditional and contemporary design with incredible effect. Perfect for a meal out with the family and dog, or a night drinking with friends at the spectacular bar. The menu offers exciting seasonal pub food with a difference. Cosy stays are available in 6 bedrooms surrounded by trees and local wildlife in the idyllic Suffolk countryside. Walk acres of garden, enjoy wood fired pizza and watch the sunset over the river Deben with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. We took on the ownership of the pub in 2021 when it underwent an extensive year-long redevelopment and reopened the doors in 2022. Since then it has been a thriving destination that has been a hit with guests in and outside of the local area, praised for our fantastic food, drinks and service.

We have an exciting opportunity for a front of house member to join us on a part time basis.

Reliable transportation to Kettleburgh is required.

Experience is not essential as training will be provided.

**Requirements**:

- Available daytimes, evenings and weekends
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
- Ability to use initiative and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Competent and adaptable to perform any duties as required
- Enthusiasm and willingness to develop knowledge and understanding of food and beverages served

**The Role**
- Greeting customers on arrival
- Serving customers and taking orders in the bar and restaurant
- Ensuring good communication and accuracy between front of house and kitchen
- Providing a high-quality experience for our guests
- Adhering to food hygiene and safety policies/procedures
- Carrying out open and close-down procedures
- Confidently and accurately using Epos till system
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as unsupervised
- Ensuring bar stock levels are monitored and replenished

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
