Our client is looking for a Managing Director/General Manager to take one of their brands and build it into a company in it’s own right. They are currently open to this being done as part of a full time or part time role.
The brand is over 10 years old and already successful, the owners believe it is something that with the right vision and leadership could be transformed into a highly successful global business in it’s own right. There is a small dedicated team that supportthe work being done, a loyal following and established partners as part of the brand which is in the event space.
The successful MD/GM will need to demonstrate proven experience in crafting a vision, creating a strategic plan and executing against it. We do not require that you have previous director level experience, though it would be a bonus. We could see this suitinga startup CEO, or someone who has been involved in previous startups, potentially even ones that have not been successful (where there is a strong reason). More important than specific experience is the right attitude, strong self belief, a kind and good naturedperson with strong sense of core values around honesty and integrity.
The immediate goal will be to drive an increase in partners and revenue, beyond that will be to realise the opportunity within the brand and build it into a profitable business. You will have a small part-time team that will support you in this approach. Youwill receive a salary plus profit share of the business.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You must have strong leadership qualities and be a friendly and positive person.
