**JOB PURPOSE**
- To assess the needs of the employers, to provide support and encourage them to engage in different activities and employer encounters as part of our Employer Brokerage & Support Team
- To match employers (with the assistance of the Client Brokerage Advisers) to match them appropriately to individuals and learning providers
- Help employers understand what learning providers and our clients will expect of them e.g. remove myths and barriers to engaging with vulnerable adults and young people
- Build an Employer Support Network so the employers support each other and encourage each other and offer peer support which will enable long term support
- Help plan and deliver a variety of events and activities as employer encounters
- To actively promote the Mentor and Business Ambassador roles to employers
- To train and supervise the Mentors and Business Ambassadors
- To agree GDPR guidelines with the employers and match to appropriate individuals following the advice of the Client Brokerage Advisers and expertise
- To work to target and ensure all project outcomes are achieved
- To collect and record evidence which meet the needs of ESF requirements
- To be responsible for sharing and maximising efficiency across the teams and with all stakeholders
- This role will be solely funded by the European Social Fund

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To work closely with Employer Brokerage Advisers to match new learning providers to employers who will be able to meet the needs of the individual clients
- To engage a minimum of 400 employers (of which at least 300 are SMEs and Micro businesses) in the Employer Brokerage & Support Service
- To engage a minimum of 4000 participants in total
- To assess needs of the employers to match them to the most appropriate learning providers and individuals
- Recruit, train and supervise at least 20 new volunteer mentors and at least 10 new volunteer business ambassadors
- To act as an ambassador for Skill Up Bucks, selling the benefits to employers
- Where necessary to become an ‘expert’ for a specialist job family/sector/area for supporting Buckinghamshire employers; e.g. an ‘expert’ for the team on Apprenticeships
- To support the Employer Brokerage & Support Team to provide 12 large events and 15 small events including inspirational talks, team challenges etc
- To design and create a menu (and planned timetable) of new and innovative events including the Challenge Event
- Report progress to Client Support Team coordinator and commissioners using agreed procedures
- Work with the Compliance Team to ensure all participant/employer paperwork is accurate
- To develop and maintain good relations with other partners supporting the same client group; this could include voluntary agencies, community groups and other statutory services
- To collaborate with existing Adviza teams and other projects to maximise benefits for the programme participants
- To maximise the use of available technology to report on progress and gather feedback from participants and stakeholders
- Any other duties required to successfully deliver the project commensurate with the grading of the post

**KEY CRITERIA**

**QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING **EXPERIENCE

Proven experience working with employers and learning providers

Holds a level 4 professional qualification in a relevant discipline; e.g. Youth Work

Experience encouraging Careers IAG employers to engage in training and other appropriate opportunities

Proven experience of delivering services to vulnerable people from a variety of backgrounds

**WORK-RELATED PERSONAL **REQUIREMENTS

Proven track record of effectively engaging learning providers

Experience of promoting training and educational employers opportunities

Good at building effective relationships with young people from all backgrounds

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both outcomes written and verbal

Good analytical skills and being able to describe new and complicated concepts in simple terms
