We're looking for a home-based **_Academy Engineer _**to cover the **Romford **and surrounding areas to join the auger family.

Auger offers a competitive total package worth **£26,888.00 **dependent on previous experience which includes a discretionary annual bonus and a generous 5% pension contribution. Working Hours are **47.5 Hours Monday to Friday** which includes your travel time door to door. We don’t typically work weekends, but voluntary overtime over the weekend is available for those that want to work.

The Job - _**The Academy Engineer role is unique and like no other, its a pathway to your career and progression within auger. You will be predominately site based assisting lead engineers on drain repairs, daily duties including excavating, installation of below-ground pipework, aiding in relining works, surface reinstatement etc. Over time we will provide you with all the training and support needed for you to be developed and progressed to a lead engineer. The majority of the training will be site based 'on the job' with the lead engineer taking the time to share their knowledge and experience with the new team member, there is no clear pathway for the progression and will take commitment and dedication.

Desirable Experience_**
- Previous groundwork experience
- Reinstatement of various different domestic surface types including; paving slabs, block paving, cold lay tarmac, concrete, etc.
- Use of CAT scanner in order to identify buried services and to trace/locate the drainage system by use of sonde
- Knowledge of basic drainage principles
- Knowledge of basic water mains principles
- Use of 360 Excavators (1.5T, 3T, 5T)

- A clear basic DBS check

- Job competency and relevant experience
