Maintenance Operative

**Role details**
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Operative to deliver both a planned and unplanned maintenance service to our Boarding Houses and School Buildings. The job holder will be able to use the expertise of qualified trade’s people where necessary to help meet the Service Level Agreement.
The Estates Department is responsible for the maintenance and development of all the School’s wide range of properties throughout the historic town of Oundle, this includes boarding houses, teaching areas, sports, music and drama facilities, administration areas, and staff accommodation. The portfolio is hugely varied, from buildings with listed status to state-of-the-art, and everything in between. This makes it a challenging but also very interesting and rewarding environment to work in.
**Role requirements**
A current, full UK driving licence is essential, along with experience and knowledge of safe working practices. You will have some experience of working in two or more trade areas (Brick work, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical).
**Hours of work**:40 hours per week, 08:15 to 17:00 Monday to Friday with breaks at 10:15 to 10:35 (paid) and 13:15 to 14:00 (unpaid).
**Working**:52 weeks per year
**Holiday**:21 days holiday plus 7 bank holidays per year
**Salary**:£25,459, plus £250 per week during standby rota weeks and call-out, when required.
