We, at Charles Clinkard, are looking for a full time purchase ledger clerk to join our busy e-accounts team at our Head Office on Cannon Park, Middlesbrough. The role requires someone who can take responsibility for the work flow and task management relating to the Purchase Ledger function. To ensure the accurate and timely payment of company invoices and credit notes in order to maintain maximum levels of discount.

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Coding and inputting expenses
- Production of weekly stock lists for dispatch
- Marking off stock invoices and credit notes
- Controlling company stock and Key Accounts
- Retrieval of accounts information
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Weekly payment run
- Responsible for foreign payments
- General office related duties including filing, opening post and photocopying
- Acting as a point of contact for branch queries regarding stock and goods received
- Acting as a point of contact for suppliers
- Updating and monitoring information on internal systems
- Liaise with branches regarding stock issues

Job applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:

- Book keeping experience
- Data entry experience
- Computer literate and proficient Excel user at Intermediate level
- Able to demonstrate high levels of numeracy
- Experience of working in a high pressure environment
