The Welsh Government has set an ambitious target to achieve a smoke free Wales by 2030. To achieve this we need to tackle the unfair toll that smoking makes on some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our society. We are looking for people who want to provide support to smokers who want to quit.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two, part time (30 hours per week) Telephone Support Advisors to join the National Help Me Quit Contact Centre and Telephone Support Service. The posts are offered on a permanent basis.
We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals with empathy skills who will become key members of the Help Me Quit Hub team.
This is a rewarding role where you will provide specialist behavioral support and advice to smokers who want to quit over the telephone, thereby making a real difference to individual’s health and wellbeing.
The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of a caseload of service users who actively want to undertake a quit attempt, and will take responsibility for ensuring assessment, formulation, planning, and delivery of behavioral support and pharmacotherapy advice for patients. All Training will be provided.
The ability to speak and write in Welsh is essential for this post.
