**GS Social Care Solutions Ltd** are looking for a Children's Health Care Assistant** **to join** **their team**.**

**Week 1 - Monday / Tuesday - 9.30pm-7.30am**

**Week 2 - Thursday / Friday - 9.30pm-7.30am**

GS SCS has a full safeguarding children and vulnerable adults policy/ policies which staff are familiarised with at induction and can access at any time during employment.

**The Health Care Assistant Role**
- Lone working within the young person's own home
- Learn new skills with tracheostomy care, suction, oxygen administration, nebulisation, nasogastric tube feeding, PEG feeding, seizure care
- Full training and support from the Paediatric Nurse
- Driver preferable to work with both packages of care
- Ideal for anyone who wishes to pursue a career in healthcare
- Being fully aware of safeguarding and child protection issues
- Fully understanding the reporting process of child protection within the home
- Understanding the principles of safeguarding oneself.
- Working in line with young people’s care plans, health plans and risk assessments
- Assisting in health promotion and development of the young people
- Providing a positive role model for the young people, presenting yourself in a highly professional manner
- Working in partnership with other agencies to the benefit of the young people
- Participating in, and completing reports
- Developing and maintaining appropriate working relationships with families
- Attending and participating in supervision and staff meetings
- Working with others to meet the social, emotional, education, health and mental health needs of young people
- Having good communication skills and be competent in the English language
- Supporting young people with education in a non-teaching capacity and providing and participating in leisure activities
- Co-operating with the Company in complying with the Health and Safety requirements
