**Purpose of the Role**

As the Digital Design Lead you will have a significant experience in working within UI (with some UX) and experience of managing a small team.

The Digital Design Lead will help to implement digital standards and best practices for both internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll be someone who is used to providing strategic advice to leadership teams and senior management on digital transformation and you will be expected to contribute to Trust-wide initiatives and development activities at a senior level.

You will be a visible leader and an excellent communicator and people manager, who can support and develop your team.

The Digital Design Lead will also work closely with our designers to:

- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)

Key Skills:

- 5+ years in UI
- Extensive expertise in key digital principles, including person centred design, design thinking, prototyping and agile delivery
- Significant experience working with 3rd party suppliers, including digital agencies and software vendors
- Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Good communicator who works well with technology, digital and business professionals
- Ability to understand, communicate, and manage the impact of transformation across the entire project lifecycle
- Ability to give design direction and provide creative input to and mentor designers
- Ability to craft and lead Design direction
- Awareness of trends and insights across the digital space
- Ability to structure and plan work to deliver an outcome that meets the underlying problem as well as control the many priorities across a growing team of digital professionals
- Good oral and written communication skills and ability to articulate outputs/outcomes of underlying builds
- Proficient in create software suite such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent proficiency in Sketch, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

**Salary**: Up to £60,000.00 per year
