What’s the scope of the role?_**:
We have a requirement for you to support the teams delivery the work (via schedule, cost, risk tools, processes, products and resources); to provide data and insights for internal performance management and to support the ND Client Team in providing information on our performance in delivering the programmes to our external Client. This requirement is met through the work of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO),

Your role as Cost Team Leader is to be responsible for the delivery of consistent and coherent Project Control services to a variety of stakeholders across the business including, but not limited to, Nuclear Decommissioning. In this context, the Project Controls services involve the provision of; stakeholder-wide support in the planning, resourcing, costing, risk assessment of programmes, project work packs and tasks as well as maintaining a central co-ordinating role for monitoring, reporting, analysing and communication of issues and opportunities in delivering the work portfolio.

What will you be doing?_**:
Your role will be varied and exciting and you will act as primary point of contact for the cost and risk management of programmes, work packs and tasks. You’ll support submissions to external bodies to ensure compliance and legislation. Provide analysis and advice in relation to establishing a fit for purpose project control in addition to the following;
- Ensuring progress is analysed.
Maintaining effective interface with all customer areas.
Review and manage the performance and competency of the personnel working with the Cost and RAID Team.
- Promote best practice and identify any concerns or opportunities in respect of working arrangements with the Programme Office.
- Lead a team involving a mixture of agency and EDF Energy employees

What skills will you need?_**:
You’ll be business focused with strong commercial acumen. It is highly desirable that you have an HNC or that you are degree qualified or equivalent in an appropriate numerate discipline. A member of an appropriate professional associate or institute is desirable. You will be well versed in project and work control techniques within complex multi-functional organisations and a high level of computer literacy. Detailed knowledge of Project Control/Project tools and techniques. Significant Project Controls experience - particularly with a Cost and Risk specialism

is required coupled with the ability of operating in a large, highly regulated environment are all attributes for this role.

What rewards will you get?_**:
The salary range is between £47,764 and £75,050, with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. The starting salary for this appointment will be dependent of your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. You will receive 28 days annual holiday plus bank holidays, incremental and competency-based progression and a Company pension scheme.
