**Purpose of the Role**:
We are looking for a Community Coach to join our team. You will be part of the Middlesex in the Community team who work in one of the most vibrant cities in the world, London We deliver participation focused cricket, working with local schools, youth groups, community engagement programmes and charities to allow everyone to take part in the game in. Middlesex in the Community covers delivery in 17 of the London Metropolitan Boroughs.

**Principal responsibilities**

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties:

- Coach on Chance to Shine School & Street Programmes across Middlesex
- Deliver quality community coaching across Middlesex in the Community programmes, including National Programmes & Lord Taverners programmes.
- Support with the administration of Chance to Shine School & Street programmes as required.
- Support with the development of the Chance to Shine Programme, connecting participants with further playing opportunities, including but not limited to Street Clubs & traditional cricket clubs.
- Assist with the development of cricket in Middlesex's 17 boroughs according to Middlesex in the Community's Strategy
- Any ad-hoc duties as required

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- Disclosure and Barring System Check (assistance available)
- First Aid Certificate (assistance available)
- Safeguarding Level 2 Certificate (assistance available)
- ECB Level 2 or equivalent Cricket Coaching qualification (mandatory)
- Ability to travel by public transport to various locations.
- Ability to work to individual and team targets.
- Adopt a positive Customer Service approach
- Ability to work with and engage a range of communities
- Ability to communicate with key stake holders and customers
- Motivated and committed to personal development

**Supervision and Work Planning**

The employee’s normal working days will be Monday-Friday and will normally be expected to complete at least 35 hours in a week. Due to the nature of the work involved in this position, the employee may also be required to work some evenings and possibly weekends. The post holder will be required to carry out their duties at such times and on such days that are the most effective to perform the responsibilities of the position.
