Catering/ Domestic Assistant

Here at Owen Mor Care Centre we have an exciting opportunity for a Catering/ Domestic Assistant to join our busy Catering & Housekeeping team. We provide domestic services and meals for up to 79 residents daily and you will assist the Chef/ Housekeeper in the delivery of domestic and/or catering services to each of the homes seven specialist care units. You will also provide hospitality requirements when requested.
You will need to possess strong interpersonal skills along with a genuine positive work attitude in order to fulfil this position. You will be highly motivated and able to work to a set schedule as well as follow a planned cleaning programme and food safety protocols.
You will be trained to make use of the catering & cleaning equipment. You will be familiar with COSHH regulations, Health & Safety measures and the importance of good infection control.
You will be required to complete mandatory training via E learning and will be trained in Moving & Handling.
- Food Safety qualification is preferred however training can be provided.
Our domestic & catering services are two of the most important aspects of enhancing our residents daily activities and we strive to ensure a quality service is provided to the highest standard, customer care is vitally important and meeting the needs of our residents requires a positive caring approach.
