We are an international engineering company who are looking to recruit an Assistant Production Planner to join our UK Head Office based in Yateley working as part of the materials control team from our modern site covering the design, manufacture, installation,repair, maintenance and support of a wide client base UK and overseas. This role is available due to an internal promotion and our ongoing growth.

We are a market leader in our field with clients within the oil and gas, marine and defence sectors. Our UK Head Office contains our cutting-edge technology engineering site plus our Head Office functions.

The full job description for the role is below:

- To coordinate and report on the production fulfilment process to meet the Production Planning Schedules. This includes the management of Materials Shortages for Sales, Project and Engineering requirements to ensure the on-time fulfilment of Work in Progress.
- Review and release daily Job Confirmations in Syspro, in line with Materials Requirement Planning (M.R.P) Proposals. Identify any shortages related to these new job orders ensuring Shortage Free Jobs are sent to Production, where possible. Check to seeif any Engineering Changes Notes (E.C.N’s) will affect build.
- Update and Review the Sales Order Report weekly.From this, report and expedite any material shortages or Bottlenecks impacting Production Schedules and escalate where necessary to relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Production Planners and Production Team to help manage and expedite Internal Work in Progress, in line with Production ‘Work To Lists’ to ensure achievement of set On Time Delivery targets.
- Work closely with the Purchasing Team to be aware of and report to relevant stakeholders on any supplier shortages and/or Quality issues that may impact Production Schedules.
- Monitor picklist sequence report, targeting required kits especially related to sales orders, ahead of build requirement date. Liaising with the Warehouse Team where necessary to communicate and expedite any changes in schedule to picklists.
- Maintenance of Job Orders in Syspro, ensuring an audit trail of changes is recorded and visible to stakeholders.
- Review and action Stores Requisition requirements.
- Action Change Notes (ECN’s) and Non Conformance Reports (NCR’s).
- Assist with the generation and documenting of Processes and Procedures for the Materials Function.

To be successful you should have previous materials or production planning experience as part or all of your current role and have worked in a manufacturing environment. Ideally with MRP knowledge and be a confident user of excel with excellent communicationskills as you will be liaising with a range of internal departments from manufacturing and production through to buying.
