Glaucoma Fellow

The postholder will be part of the senior clinical team with a priority on the delivery of the service. Whilst you will take responsibility for your own training and development, the Trust will offer you opportunities to further your knowledge and skills and you will be assigned an Educational Supervisor. You will work in accordance with the GMC Good Medical Practice and Trust policies and engage in revalidation and appraisal.
Applicants should have completed their specialty training in Ophthalmology and fulfil all the competencies of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Specialty Training Curriculum in this respect.
Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Fellow
Applications are invited for Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Fellow for a twelve-month fixed term post. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Ophthalmologists to broaden their training in modern techniques in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment surgery.
The fellowship is surgically intensive and a high level of competence with routine and complex cataract surgery is a fundamental requirement of the fellowship. Prior experience with glaucoma filtering surgery, glaucoma drainage devices and mínimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) is preferable.
The post holder will be expected to participate in new and on-going research projects as well as present at national and international meetings.
