Reporting to the Volume Operations Director, the Operational Project Manager is responsible for driving, supporting and co-ordinating Operational projects, initiatives and change and the embedding of best practice.

**Principle Objectives and Responsibilities**
- Manages Operational Projects and initatives, as allocated by the Volume Operations Director. Formulates project plans, agreeing objectives with project sponsors, engaging relevant stakeholders and instigating project meetings.
- Facilitates liaison between relevant stakeholders including businesses, third party partners and other operational functions and experts; ensuring that all actions are in line with the project objectives.
- Ensures that benefits are always identified, accurately estimated in advance, tracked and reported accordingly.
- Supports projects with associated documentation, providing pre-agreed progress reporting, identifying and mitigating risk and issues, escalating when necessary.
- Carefully manages time to maximise opportunities and results.
- Builds solid relationships with key stakeholders and manages expectation.
- Support businesses and operations colleagues with BAU, providing regular advice and guidance. Support problem resolution, minimising impact to trade and improving customer outcomes.
- Provides Operational expertise and advice to Group wide projects and workstreams.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Proven organisational skills, with experience in stakeholder management and negotiating.
- Experience in managing multiple complex projects, formulating robust project plans and tracking and measuring performance.
- Strong communicator able to articulate and present written and verbal information at all levels.
- An ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity and confidence to make measured decisions.
- Experience in prioritising, using initiative, managing stakeholder expectation and delivering time pressured projects.
- Experience of system and process optimisation.
- An ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and work effectively as part of a team.
- Pays close attention to financial detail and has experience of estimating and tracking benefits.
- Experience of delivering operational excellence and an appreciation for the importance of striving to improve customer outcomes.
- An appreciation of regulatory/legislative framework within the Financial Services Market.
- Preferred, but not essential, Prince II - Project Management qualification or equivalent
