**Nursery Cook Vacancy - Tiddlywinks Nursery School, Ramsbottom**

We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and motivated **Nursery Cook** to join our team at **Tiddlywinks Nursery School** in **Ramsbottom**.

**Hours**:
Monday to Friday, **9:30am - 1:30pm**
(_Longer hours can be discussed at interview if required_)

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook **nutritious meals**, **high tea**, and **healthy snacks** for our nursery children
- Maintain a **clean and safe kitchen** to support our **5-star food hygiene rating**:

- Comply with our **Golden Apple Reward standards**:

- Carry out **light housekeeping duties** within the nursery.
- Complying with COSHH Standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredients.
- Collaborate with nursery practitioners to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in the training of new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- A passion for cooking and supporting children's wellbeing
- Ideally hold a **Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years**:

- Must hold a **valid Food Hygiene Certificate**:

- Experience in catering for children, understanding allergies and dietary needs
- Organised, dependable, and able to work independently within a busy nursery environment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork in the kitchen.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £13.21-£13.48 per hour
