We are now seeking to recruit a **Shipping Coordinator **to join our team at our flagship plant in **Havant, Hampshire, UK, (PO9 2NB)**. In this role you will be an active part of a friendly and passionate team, with responsibility for ensuring that all customer orders for non-EU countries are prepared and dispatched in accordance with the required legal framework of the receiving country, along with meeting HM Customs requirements for reporting and identification of products being shipped, and coordinating transport and dispatch of products with our Logistics Warehouse.

**Responsibilities**:

- Check invoicing accuracy and rectify any errors.
- Ensure manifest is correct for daily shipments and paperwork fully prepared to support on time courier collections.
- Create documentation for customs for all export shipments from the plant using ERP system and Excel as main tools including EUR-1.
- Book collections using different costumers’ web portals and provided ASNs for the shipments.
- Tracking proof of deliveries when requested.
- Investigating and correcting shipping errors.
- Check and approve Import and Export freight invoices for 2 different ledgers using internal tools.
- Ensure correct processes are followed with Customs Auditors and VAT Inspectors.
- Liaise with import authority for clearance of incoming shipments.
- Process and monitor Cargo Insurance Claims.
- Be involved in regular carrier reviews looking at ways to optimize our transit times and costs.
- Compliance with and in-depth knowledge of internal freight policies.
- Able to engage and operate in Customer and Freight agent web portals.
- Able to enter and interrogate MfgPro or similar ERP systems with appropriate level of access.

**Background & Skills**:

- Detailed experience from industry working in logistics or customer service, with a good understanding of the Supply Chain
- Familiarity with booking shipments and can navigate carrier systems
- In depth knowledge of HM Customs legal requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and an eye for accuracy
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work successfully with customers and stakeholders
