We are looking for a Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Technician to work alongside contractor’s at Heathrow Airport, this role offers the successful applicant the opportunity to join a successful company that will invest in training and development toensure further growth within the organisation is possible.

As an apprentice you will:

- Deliver presentations, data, toolbox talks, and conduct inductions to their management team and colleagues.
- Have a personal impact, driving change in the company.
- Deal with challenges in the workplace.
- Identify workplace hazards and evaluate workplace instructions and practices that may be harmful for employees.
- Prepare and maintain records relating to safety, health and environmental matters.
- Ensure the employers’ practices comply with legal and workplace regulations.

Minimum requirements:

- 5 GCSEs at A*-C or equivalent - with two in Maths and English.
- Level 1 equivalent in IT.

Qualification duration:

- 24 months.

Qualification title:

- Qualified as a Level 3 in Safety, Health and Environment Technician.
- Completed learners will be able to join the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH),
- Completed learners will also be eligible to join the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

**Salary**:
£11.05 per hour days, £17.25 per hour nights

Paid on pro-rate basis - with the ability to earn up to 30 days annual leave per year.

The Shared Apprenticeship Scheme brings together a some of Heathrow’s major construction companies to offer local people the chance to contribute on upcoming Heathrow projects, whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

As an apprentice on the Shared Apprenticeship Scheme, you will have the opportunity to work with leading companies such as: Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall, MACE, Ferrovial, Dyer & Butler and their supply chain.

Throughout your Apprenticeship, you will be fully supported by a dedicated Apprentice Programme Manager at the Heathrow Employment & Skills Academy, who will keep in touch and help as required throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship.
