The Older Peoples Mental Health team comprises of social workers and assistant care managers who have an important part to play in improving the quality of life for the people and families who access their service. They work in a multi-agency environmentwhich involves collaborating with colleagues to deliver a high standard of social work practice.

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a leading professional to join us as a Senior Social Work Practitioner.

**As a Senior Social Work Practitioner, you will**:

- Work as part of a strong and dynamic social work service with clear professional leadership.
- Improve the lives of people with disabilities and their families to enjoy valued, meaningful lives in their local community.
- You will be required to undertake strengths-based assessments in highly complex situations.
- You will utilise your skills to develop and implement effective plans of support aimed at improving wellbeing and delivering better outcomes for people. as well as contributing to and developing skills in safeguarding.

All West Sussex County Council (WSCC) employees have a WSCC location as their contractual work location, however we do operate a 'Smarter working' approach, this is something that you agree locally with your manager, for what works best for you, your roleand your team.
