We currently have a fantastic opportunity available here at VetPartners, York, to join our Payroll Team as a Payroll Administrator. You'll be joining a team who strive for operational excellence in a people focused culture.
**What you’ll be doing**:
You will liaise broadly with colleagues nationwide, both those at or Central York office and in our 140 Veterinary Practices, where more than 75000 people rely on us to process prompt payment.
- To run the monthly payroll for all the companies within the Group including inputting data from a variety of communications e.g. timesheets, overtime etc and ensuring data is input to meet payroll deadlines
- To ensure compliance with starter and leavers paperwork for government bodies e.g. P45’s
- To ensure compliance with PAYE/NI payments and reconciliations
- To ensure P11d’s/P60’s are produced in a timely manner
- To manage all the payroll journals for Sage/OpenPeople/Cascade and associated documents
- To ensure compliance with auto-enrolment for all companies and employees
- To review, maintain and administer expense claims ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
- To manage HMRC communications including RTI
- To deal with payroll/inland revenue/ employee enquiries relating to payroll, expenses

**What we’re looking for**:

- Excellent organisation skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong understanding of Tax & NI weekly legislation
- Experience in managing a high volume weekly payroll
- Full end to end payroll running experience, including pension
- Strong skills of using Microsoft Office packages

Desirable
- Currently in a weekly payroll position
- Professional Payroll qualifications are desirable; e.g. Certificate in Payroll Administration, Payroll Technician Certificate, Degree/Diploma in Payroll Management
- Experience in SAGE 50, OpenPeople or Cascade

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week
**Salary**: Up to £26,000 per annum
