Fiber Splicer

**KEY FOCUS**:
A Fibre Splicer will work alongside our Construction & OSP team and will be responsible for all aspects of our fibre network build, with a particular focus including splicing and testing. This will include external and internal work, overhead and underground networks.

**This Role will be based at**:
Our company offices in Honiton.

**This role will report to**:
Network Delivery Manager
- Installation of Fibre Cables into Distribution points, fibre enclosures and patch panels on existing and new networks
- Installation of passive equipment
- Fibre handling, including preparing, splicing and testing
- Interpreting site documentation and installing equipment in line with the specification
- Completing relevant documentation and site reports
- Carrying out site surveys & produce fibre test reports
- Finding Faults on the existing and new networks being built
- Working to company Safety, Healthy, Environment & Quality processes and procedures
- Working at heights and in the underground network

**Required Knowledge/experience**
- Experience of fibre splicing working within the telecommunications / fibre industry
- Experience with Blown Fibre Installation
- Being able to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Producing fibre test reports
- Excellent knowledge of PON fibre and fibre types
- Being able to analyse the trace results to pinpoint any problems

**Qualifications**:

- Experience of working with but not limited to 8, 12, 16, 96, 144, 288 fibre
- Completion of OTDR testing
- NRSWA Street works Ticket

- Good communication skills
- Comfortable with technology
- Can do attitude with regards to changes to QC information requests
- Excellent team player and comfortable being part of a growing dynamic team
- A full Driving Licence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
