Advanced Clinical Support Worker

The Berkshire Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIP) is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic band 4 advanced clinical support worker to join their innovative and dynamic team.
The EIP tea m is a trust wide service, with teams based at each locality. We are a specialist service working with individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis or who are presenting with an at-risk mental state, between the ages of 1 8 to 65.
We operate a Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm service, although some flexibility is required. You will have a clear passion for supporting people and their family in their recovery. This post is based at Hill Croft House, Newbury, although you will be working across the 6 localities. You will work with our integrated team of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychological therapists, and STR workers to empower and support our clients to understand their experiences and return to college, university or employment.
We work with our clients for up to 3 years and the majority do get transferred back to their GP, therefore it is a rewarding team to work with.
To be responsible, under the guidance of a qualified professional, for delivering care to clients under the EIP Service. They will support nursing staff and other members of the MDT in the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of effective, evidenced based care, ensuring the care is holistic and that and standards of care are enhanced.
To provide quality, care and support which enables clients to be supported with a recovery focus throughout their EIP journey, whilst promoting independence and protecting choice, dignity, privacy and safety.
To contribute to the clinical management of designated service users, in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care. Supporting and working collaboratively with the clients care coordinator in reviewing and updating risk assessments and risk management and care-plans with clients and their carer’s within their level of competency under the supervision of a registered professional.
To take an active lead and promote recovery with the patient journey from referral to transfer of care to appropriate service/team/GP
