**Senior Production Operator**

**Location**: Stirling, FK7 7QQ.
**Salary**: Competitive.
**Contract**: Full time, permanent.

Superglass currently have an opportunity for a Senior Operator to join our manufacturing site based in Stirling. Working to strict safety and quality requirements, the role of Senior Operator will help to achieve daily production requirements in terms ofquality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements, optimising efficiency and maintaining operational excellence.

Other duties will include control of planned shutdowns, providing co-operation to the commercial, engineering, furnace & quality control departments as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain excellent standards in all aspects of production & manufacturing
- Show leadership to production line team through mentoring, coaching & guidance
- Ensure conformance to all SOP’s, PTW & COSHH systems associated with production line
- Ensure all members of production line team conform to agreed PPE requirements
- Reporting and assisting in closing out hazards that are identified
- Implement & maintain housekeeping standards in defined zoned areas
- Control of non-conforming product
- Work closely with all departments to deliver plant improvements
- Assist in production line trials associated with equipment & product improvements
- Attend daily morning meetings, administering all aspects of data collection related to production line performance which can be used to identify opportunities to improve production line overall efficiency
What we need from you
- Ideally has experience of working within a manufacturing environment/has experience of working to production targets
- Possesses a practical hands-on approach to problem solving
- Has an understanding of lean manufacturing and the 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) process
- Understanding of production costs to include waste and downtime
- Is assertive, optimistic, resilient and welcomes change
- Is self-motivated and hard working with a positive and responsible attitude
- Is self-aware and has a collaborative approach to working with others
- Has the ability to coach and mentor Operators within team
