**Network Consultant (Contract)**
**Location**: Remote UK
**Duration**: 3 months initially
Were looking for a Network Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of SolarWinds monitoring solutions across complex IT environments. This is a hands-on contract role ideal for someone with deep platform expertise who can hit the ground running, deliver quickly, and work closely with infrastructure, network, and operations teams to improve visibility and system performance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design and implement scalable SolarWinds solutions tailored to client environments
- Develop custom dashboards, alerts, and reports to support proactive issue detection
- Integrate and tune monitoring for Cisco network devices, firewalls, and core infrastructure
- Conduct health checks, performance tuning, and platform upgrades
- Provide technical documentation and handover to internal teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and align observability goals with business needs
**What You Need**:
- Strong hands-on experience with the SolarWinds (NPM, NTA, SAM, NCM)
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking and infrastructure monitoring
- Experience monitoring Cisco environments, including switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure
- Familiarity with SNMP, WMI, NetFlow, and agentless monitoring techniques
- Ability to design dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with technical teams
