**QSHE Specialist - Tricel Gloucester** **Full-time, permanent role.** **Location: Stonehouse** Tricel Gloucester manufactures a number of products for the U.K market, this element of the Tricel group is a highly-experienced manufacturer of composite products and has developed a unique range of products that is used worldwide. We excel in the innovation of composites design, supplying leading manufacturers in the construction, civil and road safety sectors. Furthermore, we are also a leading provider of mains drainage solutions, throughout the UK. We specialise in supplying a comprehensive range of highly durable gas and electric meter boxes and kiosks to the leading merchant chains. We have a high-quality range of safety products which are widely specified and conform to building regulations. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QHSE Specialist within a family-owned, industry leading manufacturer. The role offers training and a remit for development in a personable environment. **The Role** Reporting directly to the Group UK Quality Manager, you will maintain & improve the sites ISO9001 certification. We are looking for someone to identify and drive preventive and corrective action to increase our customer satisfaction (including Customer complaints management), continuous improvement and overall company growth. You will drive a culture of quality & H&S operational excellence throughout the organisation & act as a ‘Quality & H&S Standards Ambassador’ and always challenge convention on what is currently being done and how we can optimise improvement. **Responsibilities** - Maintain the Quality Management System. Maintain quality documentation, schedules, procedures & policies [quality manual, calibration schedule, testing schedule etc] - Management & reporting of non-conformances & customer complaints, identifying any potential trends & initiate related improvement initiatives. Verifying corrective action is effective to prevent a reoccurrence. - Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made by working closely with the production team on improvement activities to reduce variability to improve customer experience. - Perform internal audits and participate in third-party audits and support the development of corrective actions with site management. - Perform regular quality monitoring and compliance monitoring: GMP/compliance audits/ finished product testing including maintenance of reports - Monitor and report quality outputs identifying trending behaviours, training needs and delivering feedback to teams. - Reporting & presenting on Key Quality & H&S Metrics - Implementation of Group H&S policies & procedures at site level - Co-ordinate HSE management practices and act as day-to-day site contact on matters of health, safety and environment, conduct H&S risk assessments to identify hazards, risks, current controls and further improvements to mitigate risk to the lowest levels - Assist in reporting, investigating, monitoring and acting upon site accidents/incidents, near misses and hazard observations & identify actions needed to reduce the levels of occupational risk. - Participate in company training programmes as required - Delivery of new starter HSE inductions, internal training programmes, briefings and toolbox talks in Quality & H&S - Brainstorm ideas to increase productivity and performance of the production line while maintaining accuracy in quality & safety - Any additional responsibilities and duties which may from time to time be deemed suitable by your manager **Skills and Experience** - 3+ years practical and relevant experience working in a Quality / Compliance role or similar - A "self-starter" in terms of time and task management and operate with mínimal supervision with the determination and drive to succeed - Ability to lead root cause analysis, conduct robust internal audits, drive corrective and improvement actions, and uphold safety and quality standards - Analytical and problem-solving ability - Persistence and the ability to influence others and facilitate change; - Experience in auditing QMS is essential. **Personal Attributes** - Must have great communication and leadership skills to develop team, inspire others - A positive “can do” attitude - Self-sufficient, pro-active and flexible - Organised - A high level of accuracy/attention to detail along with good organisational skills are key attributes for the position.
