Birmingham, United Kingdom BT Full time

Our mission is to break down the barriers of today to release the potential of tomorrow. Join us today and release yours.

There are two things that we want to share with anyone considering joining us.

Firstly, we’ve got big ambitions for our colleagues and the future of the organisation. These include our vision that inclusion and accessibility drive every conversation we have and every decision we make. We want our workforce to fully represent the communities and customers we serve, because a diverse business is a better business. We value every colleague, their diversity and the contribution that they make. When we say you’re welcome at BT, we really mean it.
- “_**_Please note_**_ - you will notice that this role is advertised with “Bristol, UK” as one of the locations, please be advised that you will have a temporary base location ( within the Bristol area ) upon joining us, until we are ready to set up home at our shiny new permanent office in Bristol, at “the Assembly”_

**About this role**

We are moving from selling point products to building solutions to meet the needs of the NHS and other UK Healthcare providers. Digital solutions that are based on customer outcomes and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the NHS.

We need you to use your background and understanding in commercial roles within BT to develop, implement and evaluate commercial solutions that will blow the socks off our customers. We need you to get inside the minds of our customers, understand their challenges and then create commercial plans that compel them to act and choose BT.

Our commercial manager, will contribute to the development, implementation and commercial evaluation, including cost-effectiveness modelling, for BT Health’s technology solutions. The main challenge for this role is how you will build a commercial position that will deliver benefit for our healthcare customers and blow our competitors out of the water whilst also driving margin and revenue for BT.

**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- Utilise your previous knowledge and experience from working in a commercial environment within BT to support the development of our commercial strategies to best position BT health’s technology solutions. You’ll engage with key internal stakeholders to create innovative commercial positions that are fit for the market but also align with internal strategies and roadmaps.
- Utilise your strong skills in articulating the benefit or requirement associated with commercial and pricing strategies - drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate and communicating this to a business audience. You will be asked to translate commercial strategic positions into compelling messages that will inspire and attract internal colleagues and customers.
- Demonstrate your knowledge of business strategy and the UK healthcare market alongside knowledge of the healthcare sector drivers of organisational performance (e.g., business KPIs, business cases).
- Track the overall BT healthcare commercial plan and create bottom-up Profit & Loss statements, use key financial metrics (i.e., Internal Rate of Return and Net Present Value), to determine proposition/commercial interventions or revised pricing strategy targets in a healthcare setting.
- Influence and create alignment between potentially conflicting stakeholder needs. You’ll build strong relationships with Sales teams and key non-clinical professionals across the healthcare sector to facilitate joint-thinking and co-creation of our healthcare commercial positioning.
- Provide expert advice and coaching on our healthcare commercial offerings, and potential opportunities for improving sales and commercial performance, building rapport with stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
- Open to learning with a willingness to improve how we do things in the healthcare sector and adapt our commercial strategy as required. In an ever-changing healthcare system we need to ensure our commercial solutions continue to be fit for the market and our customers’ needs.

**You'll have the following skills & experience**
- Experience managing key commercial accounts, departments, frameworks, procurement or supply chains within BT.
- Experience in contributing to the development, implementation and economic and commercial evaluation of BT technology solutions.
- Broad capability and understanding of organisational and commercial dynamics.
- Proven ability to work across functions towards a shared goal, and being able to demonstrate experience of collaborating with, and influencing, a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the levers that drive commercial and sales performance and how to influence these to maximise delivery against financial and operational targets.
- An ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with managers, co-workers and customer stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in communicating complex
