Face-to-face Fundraiser

**About the role**

Canal & River Trust face-to-face fundraisers are the Trust’s ambassadors, working at various locations on the towpaths along our wonderful, historic 2,000-mile waterway network.

Your mission as a fundraiser is to engage with our towpath visitors, explaining who we are, what we do and why we need their support. You’ll invite those visitors to join our growing network of long-term supporters by signing up as Friends of Canal & River Trust, committed to regular monthly giving.

You’ll be showcasing the work we do to make life better by water, connecting with people right where they can see and appreciate that work in the environment, whether that’s towpath improvements, historic maintenance, providing beautiful blue/green wildlife corridors, reducing pollution or any of the hundreds of other ways in which we’re transforming places and enriching lives.

You don’t need formal qualifications or experience, but you do need drive, passion, excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with people. This is an ideal position for anyone seeking their first charity sector role, for anyone looking for a fulfilling career change or simply looking for a fun and rewarding job.

**Working hours**: Wednesday to Sunday, 30 hours per week (5 x 6-hour daytime shifts) plus bank holiday.. Some flexibility may be available

**Pay**: This is a salaried role £22,211 per annum full time equivalent, to be pro-rated for 30 hours. Equivalent to £11.50. We also offer a generous performance related pay scheme.

Interested? Don’t worry if you don’t have any previous fundraising experience, because we provide in-depth paid training to prepare you before you start work. We invest in each individual fundraiser and focus on coaching, mentoring and continuous development to enable you to achieve your highest potential.

- Willingness to travel to different locations within and around your region as needed
- To be at least 18 years old

**Locations**: Working across your region **East Midlands** most commonly at: Market Harborough, Foxton and Leicester.

**Important**: Due to the nature of the role and the locations, you would need to be a driver with full access to your own vehicle
