Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an **Assistant Management Accountant**for a business based in Dudley. This role offers great exposure in a growing business, working closely with the Financial Controller you will gain invaluable experience and have a built-in progression plan for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review profit and loss accounts, calculating and posting accruals and prepayments as appropriate.
- Maintain fixed asset registers
- Reconciliation of various balance sheet control accounts
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis for divisional and finance management
- Review sales and stock losses and investigate variances, all business units
- Review & reconcile sales tax for required declaration
- Support the budget generation and forecast submissions
- Processing and reconciling intercompany accounts
- Assist with the Audit process
- Provide support to the transactional team both Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger.
- Establish and maintain relationships with business unit teams and third parties
- Maintains high internal & external customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
- Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame
- Role will require travel to other business sites to support operational & financial requirements
Essential requirements:
- Good standard of literacy and numerical skills
- Good IT Skills (particularly Microsoft Excel)
- Strong problem solving &analytical skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to deal with large volumes of data
- Ability to provide interpretation of accounts to non-finance staff, with ability to talk to staff at all levels
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Ability to deal with internal and external customers
- Receptive to change
- Pro-active and able to work effectively in team environment
- Compliance with the company values and required levels of the competency framework
