As well as providing plenty of NHS services, we offer lots of private clinical services with the aim of providing patients with a more holistic approach to healthcare from a modern work setting.
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispensing of medications to patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for patient care and medication administration.
**Duties**:
- Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
- Ensure accuracy in medication labeling and packaging
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering their questions and addressing their concerns
- Prepare weekly blister packs and manage deliveries
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication therapy management
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidelines
**Experience**:
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and practices
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., RxWeb)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
