CGI is working on a cutting-edge project involving the design, implementation, and support of an upgrade their clients Database. We will implement new technology and processes as part of a team which brings together key industry partners providing specialistexpertise, bespoke software, and product sets.
The CGI part of the solution is a Software Application based Service Oriented Architecture, it will be implemented using Oracle Suite and Java EE, which provides Enterprise Application Integration, workflow, and functionality.
This role is to work as a Technical Architect who will bring a mix of skills required to help complete some of the more challenging issues, such as redesign for performance improvements, rework to fix critical sizeable defects and implementation of new features.
This role will be based in leatherhead five days a week, due to the secure nature of the project. CGI will be flexible where possible.
Due to the secure nature of the programme/role, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance, or be eligible to go through National Security Vetting to obtain this clearance

The Technical Architect will be responsible for the following;
- Define and maintain architecture roadmap and design baseline
- Focal point for key design decisions
- Review system development standards
- Advice and direction to dev teams
- Monitor development scope, including ensuring consistency applied across the system
- Support internal and external Safety assessment
- Manage and handle data requests from the client
- Be responsible for consistent and correct release (including documentation)
- Improve information flow between support and development teams (DevOps)
