**Health & Safety Administrator**

**General Purpose**

To provide Health & Safety administrative support to the companies nominated person. Additional specific tasks maybe required as directed by the Head of Operations.

**Main Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- To ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Assist Head of Operations in making improvements and implementing required changes
- Liaise with external nominated H&S consultancy company
- Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
- Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
- Achieve agreed personal targets and assist line manager to achieve team targets
- Logging accidents and near misses also assist in investigations
- Ensuring training records are up to date and certificates are issued and filed
- Updating company’s H&S SharePoint site
- Updating notice boards also ensure safety signage is appropriate and in good condition
- Scheduling fire drills
- Carry out regular safety checks and ensure they are documented
- Ensure COSHH regulations are adhered too.
- Organise and minute Health & Safety team meetings, prepare toolbox talks
- Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to your line manager

From time to time, you may be expected to be part of special projects or required to do other administrative roles.

- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Communication skills - verbal and written
- An understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Good understanding of administration and the office environment
- Appreciation and understanding of confidentiality
- Be able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards Health & Safety

Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday, hours to be confirmed

**Salary**: T.B.C.

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
