Page Personnel are currently working with our Public Sector clients based in Wakefield in the recruitment of an HR Officer, paying up to £26,000, for a 6 month period.
**Client Details**
Our client is a public sector organisation based in Wakefield, located next to the M1 and easily accessible. They employ over 500 staff members in a variety of office and warehouse roles.
They are looking for a 6 month HR Officer who can assist on a temp basis while they have an increased workload.
Home working is available several days per week, however the first few weeks will be primarily office-based for training purposes.
**Description**
The key responsibilities of an HR Officer will be:
- To ensure the HR service provided is fit for purpose and provides quality support with a clear focus on customer service
- To provide a full HR administration advice and support in relation to recruitment, offers of employment, pre-employment checks, con
- To provide professional and consistent first line advice in relation to HR policies, pay, and terms and conditions of employment, escalating as necessary to HRBPs
- tracts, salary information, payroll changes, overtime, maternity, car allowances, induction etc.
- Process new starters and leavers including issuing contractual documentation, induction packs, etc.
- Recruitment administration including sitting on the panel when required
- Ensure all HR processes are compliant with audit requirements
- To act as contact for recruitment agency enquiries
- To ensure all payroll processes are accurate and timely and all payments are in line with policy
- To ensure HR process documentation is reviewed regularly and amended where necessary
- To liaise with local authority payroll and pension teams and West Yorkshire Pension Fund as required, e.g. pension quotes, payroll queries
**Profile**
- Hold a CIPD Qualification, e.g. Level 3 HR Management or equivalent through professional experience
- Awareness of employment-related legislation relating to terms and conditions of employment, equality and diversity, recruitment and selection
- Have sound administration, analytical skills including demonstrable skills in the use of IT systems including MS Office software and HR/payroll systems
- Be available immediately for a 6 month period.

This role is full time, however if you would be looking for reduced hours then this can be accommodated for.
