A rounded finance role providing a good introduction to all aspects of working in a finance department.
PRIMARY PURPOSE

Responsible for ensuring a high standard of data integrity in the purchase and sales ledger. Ensuring transactions are accurate, timely and in line company policies and procedures
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To receive, check, process and code all supplier invoices and credit card expenditure using the capture system
- To understand the finance systems and provide support around the business to troubleshoot problems, maximise their uptake and usage.
- To assist in preparing requests for payment, including entering on banking system, in accordance with delegation of authority.
- To liaise with suppliers on outstanding purchase invoices
- Create and maintain financial and statistical spreadsheets and reports, using appropriate software
- To assist with the process of sales invoices and credit notes
- To assist with the introduction and set up of new staff members
- Assist with processing and paying expenses including compliance with HMRC and company VAT rules.
- Working across the company to improve processes
- Other tasks as required.

Development opportunities
- To gain an understanding with all areas of finance.
- To assist with payroll
- Assist in month end and management accounts tasks, as required and in accordance with the month end schedule

YOU MUST HAVE:

- Self-motivated, positive “can do” attitude, with a clear focus on high quality results

- Someone willing to take responsibility and ownership of tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly

- Some background in Finance would be favourable but not essential.
- Comfortable with systems and process improvement

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
