**Foreman / Woman Job Description**

Due to company expansion, we require two construction foremen / forewoman, to manage commercial interior / refurbishment fit out projects, nationwide. Managing whole projects, including staff. These posts offer an Immediate start.

**Job Duties**

Job duties will include, ensuring projects run in a professional manner, to plans and to deadlines, making sure the workforce are working safely and efficiently, whilst keeping within budget. You will need to address any site concerns, solve worker disputes, negotiate, make schedules for plan works, assign tasks, and monitor performances and progress, safety, quality and overall schedule. Feeding back to higher management, as well, as liaising with other colleagues within the organisation.

**Experience and Education**

Experience of working as a foreman / woman is essential and a proven track record in successfully delivering projects to a high standard

Appropriate construction qualifications

Detailed knowledge of construction in both new build and high end major large commercial projects

Expert knowledge of the construction industry, knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and experience in managing onsite health and safety

Ability to identify materials and equipment that may be required

Experience in managing a diverse range of staff

Computer literate, Microsoft, Apple

Ability to read drawings and blueprints

Driving license and the ability to work away from home

CSCS

SMSTS

First Aid, preferred but not essential

**Skills**

You will lead by example, be a strong, confident, assertive leader, possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills and exemplary people skills. Be highly motivated and enthusiastic, having the ability to work under pressure, manage your time, and meet deadlines. Have good attention to detail. Be flexible, reliable, using discretion and intelligence, and have a high level of common sense. A keen sense of humour is also welcomed.

Some heavy lifting may be necessary.
