Vital People are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Administrator on behalf of our client, a well-known and established leader in the logistics and distribution sectors. The contract will be on a temp-to-perm basis.
Other benefits include free car parking and a canteen providing reasonably priced hot and cold food (as well as microwaves/fridges).
Working hours are predominantly 0800-1600, but flexibility with shifts is required such as 06:00-14:00 or 10:00-18:00 Pattern: Working any 5 out of 7
Rate of pay: £10.77 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the success of the site by ensuring that all proof of delivery (POD) and return processes are carried out in accordance with the site policy documents.
- Ensure all paperwork is returned for all customer deliveries despatched from site and chase outstanding proofs of delivery.
- Liaising with staff at other depots and external contacts.
- Photocopying, printing, organising, and storing documents and computer-based information.
- Collections
- Inputting over, short and return collections on the company collection databases.
- Updating and monitoring collection spreadsheets.
- Supply the warehouse team with collection details for any returns received needing the collection process, to allow stock to be put away.
- Completion of all paperwork in relation to collections raised.
- Monitoring daily the clean POD workflow.
- Controlling period end spreadsheets, which show outstanding PODs.
- Compiling lists of outstanding PODs and contacting the hauliers to request.
- Reporting the PODs outstanding each day for the daily stock meeting.
**Required Skills**:
- Previous administration experience gained within a warehouse, transport or logistics environment.
- Strong Excel skills - data manipulation, graphs, charts and Vlookups.
- Flexibility within the role to be able to cover other areas of the team.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to manage their own time to achieve daily targets.
- Must be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent data entry speed and accuracy, with ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
- Should demonstrate the drive and desire to progress.
