Are you great with people, very organised, and passionate about patient care? The West London Children are seeking a dynamic, proactive and highly motivated individual to join the inpatients administrative and clerical team as a ward administrator. You will be an integral member of the team providing effective day-to-day clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of the ward, with scope to develop on rotation in Children’s Outpatient Department.

Our paediatric team provide a wide range of specialist and general services for children and young people. The majority of our services are based at St Mary’s Hospital, which is also home to our paediatric A&E department and paediatric intensive care unit however, we also offer services at Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea hospitals therefore, you must be required to work across sites as and when necessary.

This post is a full time basis of 37.5 hours per week. Please note this post will also require working weekend shifts and travel between Trust hospitals.

Duties include but are not limited to admitting patients, meeting and greeting patients and visitors, filing, arranging interpreters and patient transport, and general clerical duties such as booking of appointments and answering telephone calls. The post holder is also expected to work in conjunction with medical records guidelines; with the movement of case-notes around the Trust, the provision of, preparation and maintenance of patient case-notes during admission and discharge of patients, as well as maintaining up to date electronic records.
