Office Angels are currently recruiting for a **Media Relations Officer** for our client based in Bracknell.

**Role**:Media Relations Officer

**Location**: Work from home/Bracknell

**Salary**: £15-£16 per hour

**The Role**:
The Media Relations Officer supports the delivery of the public relations function across the business at an international, national, and regional level, developing a pro-active public relations function to support the achievement of our objectives

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**_Press Office and Public Relations (60%)_**

Support the press office function and PR campaigns in line with our corporate strategy and department strategies, with key responsibilities including:

- Drafting media releases, comments, statements, advertorials, and all other materials that help us tell our story
- Fostering media relationships across the UK and managing day-to-day liaison with key organisations and journalists
- Keeping colleagues informed of what is happening in our external agenda through using our internal communication systems and at staff events and meetings
- Managing our suppliers which will include our media monitoring and distribution services where required
- Measuring and analysing our media coverage and engage the rest of the business with our impact where required
- Assisting the development and implementation of ideas for PR campaigns that are creative and support our objectives

**_Content (20%)_**

Assisting the creation of content that supports not just the press and PR function but other business lines too, including:

- Briefing photographers and videographers
- Taking photos and short smart phone filmed content
- Providing written content for publications and team newsletters
- Publish news and blogs to our websites using our CMS

**_Social Media (20%)_**

Support the Content and Communications team to publish content to our online social media channels and audiences, including:

- Posting news and features on our social media
- Publishing event posts when appropriate
- Relevant public relations qualifications are desirable, and/or equivalent practical communications experience. Preferably, this will include experience in a busy press office environment or PR agency
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with adaptable writing skills for a variety of audiences
- Experience of working with journalists and within a press office environment would be an advantage
- Demonstrable traditional and digital communications experience including social media
- Practical experience managing communication campaigns across multiple channels
- Knowledge of using data to influence campaigns and to better understand the audience
- Excellent technical skills, with a strong level of experience in Microsoft Office and the ability to utilise this and any other relevant software to plan, draft, collaborate on, edit and publish content
- Highly motivated and service driven, with an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload accordingly.
