**Job Title**: Deli Assistant / General All-Rounder

**Location**: Redmans of Preston, Preston Market

**Job Type**: Part-Time (Minimum 3 days per week, including Mondays)

**Shift Hours**: Generally from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Kitchen Assistance**:

- Operate fryers and assist with the preparation of basic items, sauces and other favourites by following set recipes.
- Perform general kitchen prep tasks, including preparing raw meat for cooking, slicing, dicing and other basic food preparation.
- Help ensure the kitchen is stocked, organised and running efficiently.
- Adhering to strict food hygiene standards, date labelling and ensuring stock is properly rotated.
- **Customer Service**:

- Serving customers at the counter, taking orders, preparing sandwiches and breakfasts and providing friendly, attentive service.
- Accurately fulfil online delivery orders through platforms such as JustEat and UberEats.
- **Cleaning & Maintenance**:

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, dining, and service areas.
- Regularly clean equipment, workstations and surfaces to ensure a safe, tidy environment.
- **Additional Duties**:

- Support the team with any other general tasks as required to ensure smooth operations at Redmans.

- **Schedule**:

- Minimum of 3 days per week, **this must include Mondays**.
- The other 2 days are flexible and can be arranged according to your availability.
- **Shift Timing**: Generally from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience in a kitchen or customer-facing role is beneficial but not required. We will provide full training for the right person.
- **Skills**:

- Ability to follow recipes and instructions with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
- Comfortable using online platforms for order fulfillment.
- Able to handle the demands of a fast-paced, busy environment.
- **Personal Attributes**: Reliable, punctual, and ready to take on a variety of tasks. A good team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed.
