We have an exciting opportunity for a Ranger to join us at **our Rossendale site**. As our Ranger, you will be working**42.5** hours per week on a shift rota basis.

As a Ranger at American Golf, your duties will include all aspects of maintaining and improving the golf range while monitoring health and safety standards and procedures..

**What you will be doing as our Ranger**:

- Planning and ensuring the maintenance of the driving range
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems
- Planning and managing the control of weeds, pests and disease
- Maintenance of Car Park and Driveway and drainage systems
- Upkeep of paths and walkways
- Report on the condition of the golf course environment to Regional Sales Manager/Store Manager
- Promote good environmental practice
- Supervising turf maintenance
- Supervising the preparation of the machines for storage
- Clearing of waste/debris
- Ensuring that all products relevant to the maintenance are ordered and available
- Supervising the preparation of machines for use, including the use of pre/post use checks
- Supervising the maintenance of machines
- General maintenance of vehicles
- Supervising the preparation of the machines for storage
- Communicating information to staff, management and golfers
- Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security of the work areas
- Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others
- Carry out Risk Assessments
- Use manual handling techniques where applicable
- To be involved with and fully understand the need for regular checks, fire alarm tests, evacuation drill and fault reports for the store.
- To keep a clean and safe working environment at all times
- To cooperate with authorised Government inspectors and the HR Dept.
- To report any breach of H&S procedures or faults in the store directly to the Store Manager.
