We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant with ideally a minimum of one years experience in a practice environment and who has recently started, or would like to commence studying towards a professional qualification.

The purpose of this role will be to support managers through a varied role which includes bookkeeping, payroll/CIS, preparation of VAT returns and accounts. Responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of statutory annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies.
- Preparation of management accounts
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of payroll/CIS
- Bookkeeping
- Ad hoc duties as required

To be considered for this role:

- Bookkeeping, payroll and VAT experience is essential
- Cloud accounting experience is required
- Excellent IT skills are fundamental to the role, particularly Excel.
- You will either be currently working towards a professional qualification i.e AAT/ACCA or have a strong desire to start studying towards achieving such qualification
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
